Plain Summary
Your shift and pay records are stored on your device by default. We do not send your shift or pay records to your employer. We do not sell personal information. The current version does not require a ShiftPocket account. Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Google Play. Exporting or sharing records is your choice.
Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the ShiftPocket Android app, the ShiftPocket product website at https://shiftpocket.zhizhanstudio.com, and support requests you send to us. It does not apply to your employer's payroll system, your employer's scheduling system, Google Play's payment and account services, or third-party apps you choose for exports.
Information You Enter and Store Locally
You may enter work profile settings, shift templates, planned shifts, actual start and end times, breaks, overtime rules, differentials, manual adjustments, call-offs, sick time, extra shifts, pay-period settings, pay rules, paycheck amounts, reminder settings, and export preferences. In the current version, this information is stored on your Android device by default unless you choose to export, share, send it for support, or use a feature that clearly says it sends data.
Information We May Receive
We may receive limited purchase and entitlement information from Google Play, support messages you send, website technical information processed by our hosting provider, and diagnostic or app-quality information from Google Play Console, Android vitals, or similar developer tools.
Information We Do Not Actively Collect
ShiftPocket does not require precise location, contacts, calendar content, camera data, microphone data, photos or videos, government ID numbers, bank account numbers, full payment card numbers, employer system login credentials, or health records for its core shift and pay record features.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide and maintain ShiftPocket, store and display records on your device, estimate pay periods from your entries, compare paycheck amounts you enter, generate exports you choose, provide Pro features, respond to support, improve quality and security, and comply with legal, tax, accounting, and platform requirements.
Payments and Google Play
ShiftPocket Pro purchases and subscriptions are handled through Google Play. Subscriptions may renew automatically according to the terms shown in Google Play. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in Google Play. Uninstalling the app does not automatically cancel a subscription. Lifetime Pro is a one-time purchase and does not renew.
Permissions and Notifications
ShiftPocket requests permissions only when needed for a feature you choose. Notifications may be requested for shift reminders, confirmation reminders, and payday reminders. ShiftPocket does not require calendar read/write permission, location permission, contacts, camera, or microphone for core features.
Exports and Sharing
ShiftPocket may let you export or share PDF, CSV, text summaries, or other reports. Exports may include shift records, pay-period summaries, paycheck comparison details, overtime, breaks, differentials, manual adjustments, and notes you choose to include. You decide where exported reports are saved or sent.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information we process. ShiftPocket stores your shift and pay records locally on your device by default. Your device security, Android settings, screen lock, and backup settings may affect local data protection. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.
Data Retention and Deletion
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it in the app, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Exported files remain wherever you save or send them. Support messages, purchase and entitlement records, and website logs are retained only as reasonably needed for support, Pro access, fraud prevention, disputes, security, legal compliance, accounting, tax, or platform requirements.
Your Choices and Rights
You can view and edit records in the app, delete records where deletion features are available, uninstall the app, choose whether to grant notification permission, choose whether to export or share reports, manage purchases through Google Play, and contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or more information about personal information we process.
Children's Privacy
ShiftPocket is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under the minimum age required by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us.
International Users
We may process information in the country or region where we operate and where our service providers are located. Privacy laws may differ from those in your country or region. Where required, we will use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the Last updated date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the app or on the website.
